Anyone who likes the look and functionality of the Ford Transit or the electric version, the E-Transit, will be excited to see the 2025 models. Ford has added new options, new interior accessory kits, and new factory-integrated upfit packages to these vans.
First up are four new factory-installed trade packages, which are designed for leading industries. The components are from Ranger Design and help shorten the timeline from order to delivery. These packages can be included in the financing of the vehicle. Buyers won’t need to get separate upfit pricing. The packages are also included in the 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty. When designing the upfit, the work surfaces, drawers, and shelves are tailored to the trade.
Trade packages include:
- General Contractor Package with a mix of bins, drawers, shelves, and hooks.
- HVAC Trade Package, which includes large storage bins and shelves along with refrigerant storage racks and necessary restraints.
- Electrician Trade Package includes bins and drawers to store reels parts with reels for wiring bundles.
- Foldable Shelving Package has deep folding shelves for delivery services.
Along with these packages, other options and packages have been changed. For instance, the Smart Acceleration Truncation is now a standalone option. The Mobile Power Cord now includes a fast charger adapter. The 180-degree opening for the 50/50 hinged rear door is now standard on the low/medium-roof cargo vans as well as the passenger vans.
New options for the 2025 Ford Transit and E-Transit include a Wall Liner Kit with lighting and wheel well covers. The kit is for regular or long lengths. The Large Grab Handles Kit is also new for regular and long length vans to improve accessibility.
Why Choose Electric?
If you’re considering one of these vans, you may want to think about the benefits that come with the E-Transit. One of the biggest ways to save is by reducing maintenance costs. Compared to gas and diesel vans, electric vans can provide up to 48 percent reduction in costs for scheduled maintenance. A new Commercial Charging Cash incentive gives you a $2000 rebate for eligible commercial customers who choose to lease or purchase an E-Transit. In addition, you can find federal, state, and local incentives for buying electric. You also gain access to Ford Pro to improve productivity for your fleets on electric vehicles you buy from Ford.
